About Obduction
Obduction is a first-person adventure game developed and published by Cyan, Inc., the creators of the Myst series of video games. It is a puzzle-solving game with a strong dependency on environmental storytelling. The player-character, meant to represent the player themselves, is abducted by a strange flying "seed" to a deserted settlement and must explore and puzzle-solve to discover what has become of the inhabitants and why they were abducted in the first place.
Obduction is currently on version 1.8.4.1 and it is available on Xbox. The Steam version also includes a number of Achievements. It runs on Windows (7, 8, 10, 11) and Mac OS X (10.12.4+)

Main human characters
C.W. aka (Cecil) is the master mechanic of Hunrath. He is the sole remainer of his Cell, as the other 71 humans have taken shelter in the Silo of Maray. And he is the only human the player interacts with in person.
Caroline Farley runs the Community Center of Hunrath. Artistic, meditative and yet actively supportive of her community. She has organized the counter-offensive of the Mofang War. The player interacts with her only through her recorded messages.
Mayor Jannsen is the sixth Mayor of Hunrath. His recorded messages guide the initial steps of the player and offer information about the town. After making sure all the important documents were safe, he was quick to run for cover.
Hunrath and Villein tech
The machinery met in Hunrath consists mainly of salvaged parts and materials from the various arrivals of swapped spheres, like the Trainyard, the Gas station, the Submarine cave, as well as materials that came along with New Arrivers.
Some devices in Hunrath, like the Battery and the Bleeder are a combination of Human and Villein technology. The red beam is an adaptation of a Mofang technology device.
Villein technology is mostly found in the cell of Maray, though some devices have been gifted to the humans of Hunrath, like the Mofang disabler. The Villein control their devices by vocal sounds, but also they have created interfaces by which other species have some control over them, mainly by entering Villein numerals in their control panels, but also simply by pressing buttons.

New Arrivers are encouraged to visit the Community Center by a message kiosk at the exit of the Canyon. Outside the house there is another kiosk with a message by Caroline Farley. Since the lockdown phase of the Mofang War the Center has been closed.
