Mother Seeds are a theoretical type of seed in Obduction. On 2232 BH, Alima Hamsa speculated that they were the means by which the Hunrath and Soria cells were swapped. Their origin is unknown, but Farley suggested they might come from a "Mother Tree" and be spread by "galactic winds". Alima further posited that the Trees at the center of each sphere grew from these seeds.[1]
